Default Automatically take our your minipet

I like minipets as much as the next guy, but why own a minipet if you cant remember to take it out wherever you go?

A minipet comes out when:
- You double click on it

A minipet goes away when:
You zone to a new area
You zone into or out of a town or outpost
You begin or resign from an area/mission/quest

Suggestion:

Right click >
- Automatically take out (Checked/Unchecked)

This way, my minipet will come out whenever I enter a new area, and not when I come to my senses halfway through a mission. Those who only wish to take them out when they want can still double click it.

This is so unimportant and unnecessary that I am positive Anet will introduce it.

Pointless? ... It is a good idea. It would be helpful to forgetful players and simply more handy for those who are not forgetful.

This feature would also (most likely) be easy for A-net to implement.

Obviously, having a minipet out will increase your chances of getting through the mission, therefore is it of utmost importance that this update should be implemented!

...stop being lazy. If that minipet matters that much to you, you wouldn't forget about it either.

As long as it only counts instanced zones, and doesn't automatically come out in towns/outposts. Otherwise the first 20 people in a town will have minipets shown and everyone else will be left out.

I do not believe this is an issue of whether or not a player “loves” their mini-pet. I adore miniature pets. However, even I occasionally forget to take out my mini-pet.

I think it can easily slip anyone’s mind to take a mini-pet back out with all the zoning that occurs during quests and moving from town to town, etc.

It would simply be a handy feature that would probably be fairly easy for A-net to implement. I do not see a reason why we should not have the feature. I also do not see how implementing this small feature would take up (or “waste”) A-net’s time.

I agree. /signed
Some people on guru are just WAY to jaded and flame everything nowadays.

Interface improvements are always helpful. Did you "need" the tempelete system to load up builds? No. You could have always done it manually. An option to auto deploy minipets aren't "needed," but it would be convienent (which is the point of any inovation, in and out of game).

Personally, I play for an unreal amount of time every day, and still manage to sometimes forget to bring out my mini. Maybe that's just me, but for them to do this would be great. Besides, it's probably so easy for A-net to do; they won't even have to wake up in the morning.

Forgotten about the 20 pet in town limit? Those who dont really want them out will take those spots you know. Would be good if the limit was gone.

That is why we suggested that it be optional that they be taken out automatically.

For example, a player could check or un-check a box (located in the options menu or character interface) that would allow Miniature Pets to be automatically taken out, or not automatically taken out. This way, you could still double click on your miniatures to take them out if you do not want it to be taken out automatically.

Yes it may be optional, but its like turning your cape off, its optional but you rarley change it, i dont see a reason why i wouldnt check this and never change it again. I think it would be a maricle to get your mini into say lions arch if this was introduced, there would be 20 minis round the clock in busy cities a guarentee it, the only reson you can get your mini out there atm is beacuse people come and go/ change districts, but if there are already 20 out, and one leaves, then what happens?

Catastrophic system failure? No, your minipet just wouldn't come out. I for one, spend a maximum of 1-20 minutes in any major port trying to sell or buy something. If you need your minipet in lions arch d1 that bad, then just wait for a spot.

Well obviously being a cynical unhelpful part of thread doesn't help the community one bit. but if you like it, and it makes you feel better...

See what I mean? I dont need a reason, if something is going to be there, why not make it easy to use and manage as possible?

I gave this some thought, especially about afks sitting in towns with there minipets out (like it doesn't happen now XD). But seeing how areas are either so active or so dead, it shouldn't be a problem.
